A regionally distributed effort, the Koester Bread series highlighted only the 1921 Giants and Yankees of New York—the participants in the first "Subway" World Series. And the blank-backed production's card of Babe Ruth, in particular—with his Boston Red Sox uniform silently contradicting the updated, "New York Americans" bottom-caption—is especially fascinating. The offered specimen's image is faultless, almost proof-like in its projection quality. All four of its corners are sharply pointed, and the card's borders reflect pure white. An incredible and rare collectible from early in the Babe's career, in elite Near Mint-plus condition.
