Each card has been graded or assessed by SGC. Presented is a complete set of the four baseball players from the 1912 T227 "Series of Champions" set. With a 22.50 GPA, this set captures the "#4" position on the SGC Set Registry! These sought-after collectibles are unique in design among 1910-era tobacco insert cards. They look like "Jumbo" T206's, and collectors are immediately drawn to the oversize masterpieces. The reverse of each card features a detailed biography, along with advertising for the scarcer Miner's Extra tobacco brand. Loosely packed without protection in pouches of tobacco, practically every card was creased to some degree on the day it was inserted into the product's containers. The Hall of Fame quartet includes: Graded SGC 40 VG 3: 2 cards w/"Home Run" Baker and Rube Marquard; SGC Authentic: 2 cards w/"Chief" Bender and Ty Cobb.
