The success Goudey experienced with its 1933 Big League Chewing Gum production—a positive impact felt in the hobby even today, more than seven decades later—was a tough act to follow. But the company pulled it off with style! The 1934 Goudey series—the firm's second color-filled production—features a comprehensive lineup of the period's stars that begins with the set's first-card portrayal of Jimmy Foxx. Its depictions burst with color and detail and are highlighted by an attractive array of poses that range from full-length "action" shots to glorious portraits brimming with character and charm. Offered is a 93-card near set of this popular production. In total, 10 cards have been graded by SGC.
